Setting up
How do I turn KeyWise on?
iOS requires every third-party keyboard to be enabled in Settings first. The app shows you the steps, but here they are in full:
- Open the Settings app
- Go to General → Keyboard → Keyboards
- Tap “Add New Keyboard…” and choose KeyWise
- Tap KeyWise in the list and turn on “Allow Full Access”
- In any app, hold the 🌐 globe key and pick KeyWise
Why does KeyWise need Full Access?
Apple blocks all network requests from a keyboard extension until you grant Full Access. Without it, the AI actions have no way to reach the server and simply cannot run.
KeyWise uses that permission for the AI actions only. It does not log your keystrokes, and text is sent for processing only when you tap an action such as Improve, Compose, Translate or Ask AI. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Plans and billing
Is KeyWise free?
Yes, there is a free tier. It includes AI-powered writing help and grammar checks up to a daily limit.
KeyWise Premium removes that limit and adds synonyms, translation, paraphrasing and the rest of the advanced actions.
Why was I charged before my free trial ended?
Apple may charge for a subscription within the last 24 hours of a trial period. From Apple’s own guidance: if you signed up for a free or discounted trial and do not want to renew it, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
All App Store payments are handled by Apple, so this is not something the KeyWise team can change.
How do I cancel my subscription?
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top of the screen
- Tap Subscriptions
- Tap KeyWise, then Cancel Subscription
Your Premium features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are issued by Apple, not by us — KeyWise has no way to refund an Apple payment.
Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple ID that made the purchase. If you were charged without your permission, say so in the request.

Is KeyWise made by OpenAI?
No. KeyWise is independently developed and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by OpenAI.
